In this episode we are joined by Benn Walford, not only is he the youngest guest we have on the show, but he is also the most followed 22 year old social media consultant and today, we talk about the importance of personal branding in 2018, and for the years to come.

We talked about Benn’s journey from handing over club flyers to becoming night club manager, and becoming THE Benn Walford that he is today. He shared how his father has massively influenced him, and how he was a business minded individual since he was a child.

We also talked about the importance of doing ONE thing, and do it in the best of your ability, that way you will get to your goals. However, if you do not know yet what you want in life, it is also a good idea to test things out. Doing so would allow you to find what works for you.

Benn also shared with us how CONFIDENCE and FOCUS has helped him get ahead in the jobs he had in the past.

We discussed the elements of PERSONAL BRAND which are:

1. Who you are
2. What you can provide
3. What value you can bring to others

Basically it is about who you are and what you are all about.

In this episode, we also chatted about three steps or tips that people can take to build our personal brands (as a start-up business and as an established business).

For start-up businesses:

1. Identify which social media platforms are you most comfortable with.
2. Narrow down the social media platforms you use to two. Go deep, not wide!
3. Grow your social media following suing these platforms.

For established businesses:

1. Be sure to put your 100% in each area of your business.
2. Match QUALITY with QUANTITY.
3. Know and nail your niche!

In this episode, Benn also talked about how important it is to grow your personal brand online and in line with this, he shares some tips such as:

1. Have a professional photo of you as your profile picture.
2. Use relevant hashtags so that your niche can find you on social media.
3. Work on your content. Again, QUALITY needs to match with your QUALITY.

He also discussed three tips that people can adapt when their business are not how performing how it should be, these are :

1. Get a social media consultant.
2. Get with the times. Stay relevant.
3. Identify where your gaps lie, and address them.
